Experiencia fantástica: I came to Buenos Aires in March for vacation and decided to take some Spanish classes while I was here. I enrolled in a school with good reviews, planning to stay for all three weeks of my trip. But after my third day, I was already feeling discouraged, like I couldn’t learn and maybe wasn’t smart enough. That’s when I reached out to Porteñísima. Majo and I had a FaceTime call, and as soon as we started talking, I knew this was the right school for me. She was so kind, easygoing, and genuinely supportive. The next week I started private classes with Belén, and I absolutely loved my time with her. I ended up staying with Porteñísima for my entire stay in Buenos Aires and continued working with Belén even after I returned to California. I gained so much confidence in my abilities in such a short time. I went back to California, quit my job, and moved to Buenos Aires full time. Not only did I learn a ton, they also became amazing, loving, and supportive friends. I feel so lucky I stumbled upon them and I can’t wait to start classes again!

This is the place! classes via Zoom work great for me, and the class times are conveniently arranged to fit around my schedule. the (native Argentina) teachers are fantastic! highly recommended if you want to learn Argentine Spanish.

Experiencia fantástica: Porteñisima est une super école pour apprendre l'espagnol. J'ai toujours été entourée de femmes tres compétentes et passionnées, c'est un 10/10 ! Il y a différentes formules (intensif sur quelques jours, plus long si tu reste un peu sur place) et on peut avoir des cours individuels mais aussi en binôme ou en groupe. J'ai payé 200€ pour 10 cours de 1h30 chacun, tousbtres qualitatifs. L'école est installée dans une auberge de jeunesse super sympa où j'ai aussi passé pas mal de temps. Il y aussi des événements et soirées proposés par l'école. Et il est possible d'avoir ses cours hors les murs, j'ai fait une séance au musée par exemple :) Je recommande à 100% ! I took classes for five weeks and managed to improve my horrible, tourist Spanish into something a little closer to a language that someone might speak and understand. If you go, do not expect only classes. This is a school and a school community. The curriculum is original and excellent. The instructors are highly skilled and passionate about the language and the culture of Buenos Aires and Argentina. Beyond classes were trips to the National Art Gallery, a rooftop party with students and alumni and drinks. The attitude is excellent and the energy boundless. Hint: take the free, introductory class on Monday.

Virkelig god og energisk “profesora” som tog hånd om ens niveau og som sørgede for at alle var med! Kan kun anbefale dette, og i øvrigt vildt fedt med en gratis times undervisning på hostellet!!

Very informative lesson for beginners learning to grasp the structure of Argentina Spanish. Experiencia fantástica: We took both online lessons and face-to-face lessons at Milford Avenue hostel. When we started, we spoke absolutely no Spanish, now we can understand most of it and ask short practical questions. It was very efficient to learn by doing and it was nice to get to know a new language in a relaxed and fun way. It turned out to be very useful to learn specific topics; for example asking for directions, going to the doctor, ordering at a restaurant. This of course in addition to the standard basic vocabulary and grammar. The events that are organised by the school outside of the lessons offer a good opportunity to practice Spanish effectively. Would definitely recommend!

I took in-person classes there during my time in BA and they helped me immensely to learn and feel more comfortable speaking Spanish. Plus they have events and a community that are awesome and help you discover all the best things to do in BA. Would highly recommend! I also liked that you could choose to learn the “Porteño” Spanish accent if you wanted (which is what I did and is hard to find at other Spanish schools which mostly focus on neutral Spanish)

Es wird sehr geachtet auf die Aussprache, es wir auf individuelle Wünsche eingegangen sowie wird die Kultur mitgeteilt und gute Tipps mitgegeben. Es wurde viel auf der Tafel geschrieben, Bilder und Wörter geübt, später Sätze und Unterlagen abgegeben. Zum üben bekamen wir einen Link somit wir mit Karteikarten lernen konnten. Leider waren wir die ersten 3 Wochen in einer schrecklichen Sprachschule. Wir konnten den Unterricht hier nur eine Woche geniessen und ganz viel profitieren. Herzlichen Dank Bélen für die Lehrreiche Woche die uns sehr viel gebracht hatte und hängen geblieben ist.

Hoje, depois de ter feito cerca de 5 meses de aulas presenciais com elas, não tenho a menor dúvida de que fiz a melhor escolha. Ao longo desse tempo tive aulas com cinco profes diferentes, de estilos distintos e complementares uns aos outros, de forma que pude praticar e desenvolver conversação, escrita, gramática, leitura, pronúncia e muitos aspectos socioculturais de forma super dinâmica e estimulante. Foi não só um curso de idioma, como também um mergulho e um abraço na cultura argentina (e portenha), e pude notar meu progresso no espanhol a cada aula. Cheguei com um conhecimento básico da língua e estou muito feliz com o nível que alcancei nesses meses e com a segurança que tenho hoje para me comunicar, falar, ouvir e ler em espanhol! In four weeks of private lessons, our teacher Belén took us from being absolute novices to the point where we could just about discuss politics in Spanish (as well as converse comprehensibly with waiters, taxi drivers and sympathetic porteñas). She had the patience of Saint Martin, the work ethic of a Trojan and a delicious sense of humour. We weren't so much learning as having fun. We can't recommend too highly.

I came to Spanish with no prior knowledge and no other languages other than English. Belén, my teacher, was so incredibly enthusiastic about not only teaching me her language but also learning about my own life and catering the classes towards my interests and skill level. When life got busy and I fell behind in my homework there was no shame, Belén only slowed down for me and reminded me that we are only human. Majo and Karo who run the school are very inclusive and responsive to any questions you may have. I work remotely and they were able to fit classes into my schedule, morning or afternoon. Beyond this, Majo made a special effort to invite me to events and gatherings they put on. She even helped me find a ticket to a sold out concert I wanted to attend. Their energy is contagious and I always left them feeling some had rubbed off on me. Thank you Majo, Karo, Belén and of course, Magui Mosby (haha) for helping me start my Spanish journey and your friendship. Until I return!
