Experiencia fantástica: Highly recommend this school. Process of booking is very easy. They are super attentive and responsive and flexible. And Guille is an INCREDIBLE teacher. Truly.

Experiencia negativa: I had the opportunity to take nearly 20 hours of classes with Wanderlust. Those hours were done via private and group classes. Pros: Teachers were timely, very knowledge and helpful. They always came prepared. Communication was friendly and mostly prompt. Group classes were small and you received thoughtful instruction. I learned a lot. Cons: I had a concerning experience with their business practices. After agree to 10 hours per week for 4 weeks, availability between myself and the private instructor didn’t align. I requested a refund for remainding hours which was denied based on their policy. When I asked for a copy of the policy and if it was shared prior to/at the time of purchase, I was met with silence. Requesting a refund seems fair due to their inability to honor the 40 hours in 4 weeks which I flagged at the time and afterwards. While other options were provided including use of the hours until they ran out, I’m US based with limited availability after the 4 weeks agreed to. Takeaway: I would not recommend paying for a large amount of classes ahead of time if you have limited availability. I’d only pay upon confirmation of availability and a scheduling of classes. Unfortunately my experience shows a lack of best practices like sharing policy prior to purchase and honoring prior business/customer agreements.

Experiencia fantástica: I really liked my time at Wanderlust. Obviously every Experience varies a lot depending on the teacher and group dynamic, but Maca (the teacher) constantly made sure we were heading in the right directing, asking what WE would like to focus on, giving feedback and correcting. She came well prepared to every class but also kept adapting it to our needs. It was a very good mix of grammar (always put to use and not only studied on paper) and conversation. Helped me a lot with my level, learning new vocabulary and improving my grammer struggles. Also the location of the school is really good and can be reached easily by bus. I would and will recommend this school to all my Friends! :)

Experiencia fantástica: I was in Buenos Aires for a week and decided last minute I wanted to take Spanish classes. I reached out over the weekend right before I was arriving, and heard back immediately on WhatsApp. I initially signed up for B1 but then wasn’t sure, and they sent me a self test and accommodated my switch to A2. There was not an “intensive” A2 (4 hrs per day) that week, only regular (2 hrs per day) so they made up for it with 1 hour of private lessons per day. The class size and structure were great. Lordes was a good teacher, trying to do everything in Spanish but ready to explain in English if we didn’t understand completely. She also introduced us to interesting culture of Argentina and BA, and encouraged us every day to find things out in the world that we wanted her help to understand (both vocabulary / Phraseology and also cultural). My private lessons with Niki were fantastic; she was always prepared for my laundry-list of focus areas, and frequently prepared materials for me to take home to help reinforce things I wanted to focus on. Maxi, who organizes everything, is such an awesome face for the organization. He’s incredibly friendly and organized, and always keeps coffee and other drinks available for everyone. He genuinely connected with and knew all the students, and greeted everyone every day with a smile. I left my experience with Wanderlust feeling much more confident in my Spanish, and also with a clearer understanding of what I’m still missing and need to work on. Thank you all!

I knew a little bit of Spanish when I started and I now dare to say it drastically improved! Great atmosphere, amazing teachers and as a bonus: they help you a lot with applying for a student visa which is super super helpful! I signed up two days before my private lessons and they were able to accommodate. I had Evelyn as my tutor, she was great ! Very patient and she matched my learning pace. I highly recommend this school!

Experiencia fantástica: Excellent classes for digital nomads. They have different intensities and I felt like the 3x a week option noticeably helped me improve my Spanish while still working during the week. They do a rolling class format where they have different levels you can pop into, so you don’t have to commit to a formal 8-week program; I was there for 2-3 weeks but they also have folks doing a year long program. Julian was great and let us focus on conversations we were hitting daily around the city. There weren’t any events while I was there, but I suspect it’s not their peak season yet. But it was nice to see the same group of other students consistently throughout the week

Experiencia fantástica: The school is really helping me develop my Spanish, the classes are a nice balance between, written work, reading, and speaking there's a really good vibe in this school which helps me feel comfortable and ready to learn. I've attended other schools in the past which have been very formal focusing on passing exams and rushing through many subjects quickly before I've fully understood them. But at Wanderlust the teachers have patience and take time to explain everything, the classes are small groups which I really value as there's more connection with the teachers. It's my 2nd time at Wanderlust the first time Nicolás was my teacher he has great energy and enthusiasm, we enjoyed many chats about Argentinan culture and also he was very interested in my culture. Now Evelyn is my teacher I like how she breaks things down and helps explain subjects clearly in a way I can understand. Wanderlust has a relaxed environment which I find very beneficial for learning, Belen and Maxi on reception are friendly and helpful I always look forward to my lessons at Wanderlust

She is an incredible teacher—patient, engaging, and skilled at making lessons both fun and effective. I only wish I had started learning with her the very moment I arrived in Buenos Aires. My confidence in speaking improved so much in such a short time, and I felt truly supported every step of the way. Experiencia fantástica: I have loved going to Wanderlust. I did the chill class just because I was working. They do a great job at finding teachers that understand you and how you learn. It’s great because they are very adaptable. The only thing I would recommend is for them to send digital copies of the papers they give. Or give us a folder. I just had so many papers. But I really loved the flexibility, the kindness, the depth of learning. Highly recommend!

She is an excellent teacher. The school has learning resources that we can use + they print for us. Everyone is super kind, accommodating and communicative when it comes to scheduling and booking more lessons.

Experiencia fantástica: I came to Buenos Aires for a few months to work remotely and learn Spanish before my travels in South America. I ended up at Wanderlust quite by accident—it was just around the corner from my Airbnb—and it turned out to be a happy coincidence. Everyone at the school is welcoming, friendly, and helpful. My classes with Julieta brought my Spanish to a level where I felt truly comfortable traveling. And every day offered something I looked forward to: engaging, fun conversations about culture, language or just life, learning through literature, music and TV series. All of this made my learning experience felt like a pure fun while still bringing obvious results. The teachers who filled in for her were great, too. Highly recommended!

Experiencia fantástica: Two weeks ago I took a semi-intensive course at Wanderlust. In one part of the class we saw grammar and the other conversation. The teacher was very friendly and helpful. I was very satisfied with the teaching.

Experiencia negativa: Eine Freundin und ich haben die Schule aufgrund der vielen guten Rezensionen gebucht. Leider können wir uns diese positive Ressonanz beim besten Willen nicht erklären. Während unserer Woche haben wir sechs verschiedene Lehrpersonnen kennengelernt. Sie waren mehrheitlich sympathisch. Alle, ausser Julietta, waren jedoch komplett unvorbereitet, der Unterricht war sehr schleppend, die Lektionen überhaupt nicht didakdisiert oder durchdacht. Leider wurde stark frontal unterrichtet, sodass die eigenen mündlichen Kenntnisse kaum geübt werden konnten. Es kam zum Beispiel einmal so weit, dass bei einer Privatstunde der Lehrer nicht mehr wusste, was er mit uns anfangen soll, sodass er komplett ohne Kontext Wörter zum Körper usw. abgefragt hat. Das hat uns bei einem B2 Niveau wirklich herzlich wenig gebracht und hätte mit sehr wenig Aufwand um einiges spannender umgesetzt werden können. Schade, wir kennen das aus anderen Sprachschulen anders. Wir hätten wirklich gerne etwas von der Schule profitiert. Es hat uns sehr frustriert zurückgelassen, immerhin können wir nun über die Absurdität und Dreistigkeit wieder lachen.

Experiencia positiva: I spend a week at Wanderlust. The Teachers are very friendly and the atmosphere very nice. I immediately liked it there. The group was a bit bigger than what they say on there website (maximum of 6 students). But this is probably a bit depending on the level or group of that time. In my boyfriend’s class were only tree other students. Therefore his group from time to time had classes in the basement of a coffee shop where it was very loud and uncontrollable, because there were no room available in the building. The level of our group was a bit wild. One student in particular struggled a lot to follow the classes. I was wondering they didn’t match her with a different class. Most days the teacher was a bit late but that gave me some time to get to know the other students (lovely people). All in all I was glad I only had booked for one week. We were given lots of paper sheets where we had to do fill out tasks. We didn’t talk much during the classes (which for me is the most important thing when it comes to learning a new language). Learning a language is very personal and everyone has their own preferences. My preferences didn’t match the school. But as sad in the beginning, they are very nice and trying their best. Thank you.

Experiencia fantástica: Wanderlust is a great Spanish school for all levels! I took lessons here one year apart, my return is a testament to the school in and of itself. Julian is an exceptional teacher, who has the ability to view language from different perspectives, communicate them in an understanding manner, and simplify complex concepts (no mean feat!). He is very flexible with content and approach - highly, highly recommended. Everyone else at Wanderlust (including but not limited to Maxi and Santiago) are an absolute pleasure too!

The school was very conveniently located and it was easy to schedule classes online and on WhatsApp. The schedule was flexible, allowing for travel during my stay as well. The staff was kind and attentive. My teacher, Julián, was knowledgeable, patient, kind, and fun. I learned so much in a short time. ¡Lo recomiendo sin duda!

Experiencia fantástica: A friend recommended this school, so I registered for a month of group classes before moving to Buenos Aires. Each class was very social and a delight to attend. I gained confidence quickly in Spanish. When my husband and I decided to stay in BA, we switched to class with just the two of us. We've become very fond of our teacher who is also a cultural godmother to us. After a year, she has brought us to the point that we can have real conversations in Spanish.

Experiencia fantástica: I am learning a lot of Spanish terms and all about the culture of Argentina through Wanderlust School. I found good friends through their staffs and I feel home surrounded with kind people from Wanderlust. I highly recommend it.

Experiencia positiva: I did three months of intensive Spanish group classes at Wanderlust. The program was 4 hours a day and 5 days a week. There were students coming in and out of the classes nearly every week as most of the people only came for a bit. I only met one other student who is living in Buenos Aires; the rest were passing through. What Wanderlust does well: Everyone who works there is so incredibly kind and friendly. Camí was my teacher for almost all of my classes, and I love her dearly. She did a great job of tailoring the classes to our interests and needs and making them fun. Her classes went beyond the normal grammar lessons to teach us how Argentine people *really* speak. We also learned about Argentine culture and history. Another thing I like about the school is how flexible they are. If you want to take some time off, cool. If you want to switch what days or times you are coming in, cool. If you want to take some private lessons, that is cool too. They are very chill in that regard. What Wanderlust could improve: Their way of testing level is inconsistent, and sometimes this means that they place people incorrectly, and this creates a bad experience for everyone. People at different levels have different needs, so they should handle this better. Also, there is no goal for the program unless you create one for yourself. They'll teach you what you ask for, but they aren't assessing you to help you improve in any weak areas. Since they aren't tracking anything, if you get a new teacher one day, the lesson might be something you already learned. There was a whole week where Camí wasn't available, and I chose to take it off rather than have class because the other teachers didn't have any context, and their lessons weren't valuable to me. What I would recommend to Wanderlust would be to introduce 1) a consistent and accurate leveling system and 2) a sheet for each student that tracks their lessons, notes areas of improvement, and is shared between teachers. My final thoughts: I did really enjoy my time at Wanderlust. Camí is amazing, and I am so thankful to here. I did achieve what I set out to do, but for advancing further in the language I don't think it would be a good choice for me. They are definitely geared more towards tourists and short-term learners. While this means they are flexible, and it takes little time or effort to start taking classes, it also means that the school lacks the structure that would benefit people who are there long-term.

Overall, the staff and teachers at Wanderlust were very helpful with the whole teaching process. I was very happy with Wanderlust, that I decided to book more private 1-1 lessons with Julian for my long term stay in Argentina. Experiencia positiva: I've taken a few group and individual classes with Wanderlust and wanted to share my impression: What I really liked: - Very close to Palermo and to several bus stations - Staff is very friendly and flexible, accommodating my interests whenever possible - Some materials (few individual print out papers) were provided -price overall quite good What I'd have hoped for additionally: - more materials and some preparation by the teachers, it felt as if they come into a class and are more reactive than proactive - my group experience was mixed, especially on higher levels it was basically a reading class which I don't think equals a proper Spanish lesson for that price

The classes were a good mix of practical and theory, with lots of speaking practice. They teach about Argentine culture too, which enhances your experience in Buenos Aires.

Experiencia negativa: I took classes for 4 weeks at Wanderlust and was overall very dissapointed with the experience. The biggest dissapoint was the style of the group classes, which consisted primarily of whiteboard/worksheet style learning which is contrary to what is advertised on the website. I've attended other Spanish schools in Latin America which have been much more dynamic, interactive, and focused on practical language skills. At wanderlust the classes followed a more traditional style and we ended each day with up to 15 pages of paper worksheets which was unecessary and environmentally irresponsible. Whilst I was offered extra classes to compensate for the fact that there were no group classes with my level, the disorganisation of the school and numerous public holidays meant that they were unable to schedule any of these additional classes before I left Buenos Aires (only classes to cover the public holidays). My experience with the 4 teachers I had during this time was generally positive (especially with Agustina who is the best teacher!), however when my partner had a negative experience with her teacher and sent a detailed email to the school about it she receieved no response. Overall, despite having some good teachers at Wanderlust, I would recommend choosing a different Spanish school.

Experiencia negativa: I chose Wanderlust based on the numerous 5 star reviews. However, my experience over the last 4 weeks has been overwhelmingly negative. In my first class (private) my teacher did not introduce himself and I had to ask an hour into the class what his name was. There was also no opportunity to discuss any goals I had for my time at Wanderlust or what previous experience I had learning Spanish. The classes were heavily grammar focussed, and a lot of the initial learning was suplemented with YouTube videos and resources from these channels, which I could have done at home for free. Overall I found the classes highly impersonal, with limited opportunity to practice speaking, despite requests from myself and other students for more practical exercises. Most of the classes consisted of fill-in the blank type worksheets and then correcting these, the paper waste over 4 weeks was unbelievable! In addition to this, due to the significant disparity in levels in my group class this meant half of the class was spent waiting for other students to finish. Overall the school seemed disorganised (teachers arriving late), with little communication to students, and I felt unwelcome on numerous occasions. After raising this feedback and concerns with the school after 2 weeks of classes, I received no response. Unfortunately I wouldn't reccomend this school, and have attended other Spanish schools with a significantly better experience.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience of Wanderlust was fantastic: they created a friendly, supportive and fun environment and were flexible when I asked to change my days — they were also great value for money. There were lots of opportunities for getting together socially and the classes themselves were brilliant. Santiago was a patient, knowledgeable and intuitive teacher and I came away with a much better grasp of Spanish but also having had a lot of laughs and having become well-versed in the songs of Argentine singer-songwriter Charly Garcia et al! Classes were the perfect mix of language, grammar, history, culture, Buenos Aires tips, ‘mate’ and home-baked cakes! With the hodge-podge of self-taught Spanish I came to BsAs with, I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience of learning the language in a classroom. It goes without saying, I would HIGHLY recommend! Muchas gracias otra vez!

They were quick and responsive over email, making it easy to book with them. We took classes for one week, 2 hours per day with our teacher Santiago. We learned so much and really enjoyed it. Santiago is a great teacher and we would really recommend him! We would definitely take more Spanish classes with Wanderlust if we come back to Buenos Aires!

Experiencia fantástica: I really liked my experience with Wonderlust. In 3 months time that I have been with them, my Spanish has improved significantly. The teachers are very supportive, talkative and friendly. I specifically would like to thank my teacher Augustina! She is trying her best to make classes well structured, interesting and interactive and she is doing that very well. Other teachers with whom I had some classes are Mica and Ezequiel are also good in what they do. Finally, I should mention about excellent management skills of the school owner, Camila, who is always supportive and helps to resolve any problems or rescheduling your classes according to your needs.

Experiencia fantástica: I contacted Wanderlust after reading the reviews here on google maps. They were responsive and answered all my questions promptly, so I could sign up the very next day for the semi-intensive classes for two weeks, 2 hours sessions during the weekdays. Catalina was leading the class as our teacher, and she really made it easy for us to have day-to-day conversations in Spanish. Certainly effective and great facilitator for beginners to learn and utilize new phrases while keeping the FUN! In the second part of the class, she would focus on grammar and help us learn to speak and write in proper Spanish. Overall, the staff at Wanderlust, Camila and Maxim were super helpful with everything. I would recommend the classes with Catalina at Wanderlust!

Experiencia positiva: Very nice school for an easy going study environment while you are traveling. Great teachers for private classes. This experience from my view of the group classes and the communication. I wrote Wanderlust to change from another school to them and asked about what kind of group classes are available. The school I was coming from is very academic and is very big. Wanderlust had the option of a 2 hours class per day or 4 hours. I decided on 2 hours and adding private classes for extra studies. On Monday the first day I noticed in class and after talking with other students that the two hours class is mainly conversational with a little bit of excersies /progress per day. It seemed to me that lots of people are thrown together to create a daily 2 hours class. On the next day I changed to the 4 hours class which has a higher level. Also here I found out that for some people the class is 2 hours, and for two people it's 4 hours. This meant that the first two hours we worked on certain topics and the other two we did reading comprehension which had nothing to do with the topic of the day. For me this was very lacklusting compared to the 3 other language schools visited in Latin America where the classes followed full time an academic structure. In the communication before I also made clear which level I am, and what my expectations are. Instead of telling me the differences on how they work they just put me into classes that didn't fit my wishes. If you also want to study more academic in intensive group classes than there are better options in Buenos Aires.

Edited to say: I continue to study with Wanderlust's team of extraordinary teachers, and have many friends who now also study with them. The creativity of the teaching, aimed at the learner's specific interests, is unmatched - and I say that as a professor. They also offer a series of short 1-day courses on Latin-American literature, music, dance, etc that are not to be missed!!

I was able to find a class that worked with my schedule and made a bunch of amazing friends while attending. Mica was awesome and I learned a ton, and was able to improve my Spanish quite a bit while in Argentina. Definitely recommend.

Experiencia fantástica: If you’re looking for a personal, high quality, smaller Spanish school with motivated staff and highly educated teachers this is the place to go. I took private Spanish classes here for about 6 weeks and I absolutely loved it. It’s a smaller school and therefore are flexible to adapt to your personal needs. They make you feel at home and create with their activities and warm personal attention a great, relaxed atmosphere. I can only recommend!!

Experiencia fantástica: Fantastic Spanish school in the best location in Buenos Aires ! I stayed two weeks at this school taking intensive lessons, the teachers were so much fun and the classes were interactive and a great mix of teaching methods. Cata was one of the best teachers I’ve ever had in 15 years of learning Spanish! The school is right in Palermo and on a main road near supermarkets, gyms, cafes, and many restaurants. Perfect spot for getting an air b n b and really enjoying BA! The school is very sociable with activities and events organised several days and nights of the week. Thanks again Wunderlust!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m so happy I found Wanderlust. I was staying in Palermo Soho for a month and the school was just a short walk away. Getting put into a class was super fast and prices were very reasonable. The staff are incredibly friendly. My teacher, Mica, was an amazing all round teacher. She knew exactly how much grammar practice and speaking practice I needed and adjusted accordingly. It was super helpful. I signed up for the 20 hours and ended up doing a few more. Highly recommend it.

It was a great way to not only learn everyday phrases, but meet other folks traveling to Buenos Aires, learn about the culture of the city, and get a good foundational understanding of Argentinian Spanish. They were able to get us into separate classes based on our family members' knowledge of Spanish and did a good job of pushing us to learn. Pricing is very fair and in line with other schools in the area.

Experiencia fantástica: My favourite language school in Buenos Aires. I tried several language schools during my one-year-stay in this marvellous city, but for me, WANDERLUST is the best among them. Don't get scared off by the somewhat modest location in the first floor of an old building at the busy Avenida Cordoba - and by the relatively simple equipment. The young staff is very friendly and helpful and the mood is lively. But most importantly, the teachers are superb, both engaged and motivatiing. Argentine Spanish has quite a few particularities compared to classic Castilian Spanish, but they will all be explained and discussed. Generally, those Argentinos speak slower than the Spaniards do. And the pronounciation is easier. For those reasons, along with the Buenos Aires experience, you really should consider to learn Spanish right here. And Tango, too, while you're in town - but this is another topic ;-)

Experiencia fantástica: I don't know why my title above is "Believe Now" but I can't seem to change it to my name: Renee Linnell. I loved my time at Wanderlust! I learned so much! I took two hours of class a day, five days a week, for two weeks. I smiled every day that I walked to class. I felt so welcome here and Catalina (my teacher) was so patient with me as I stumbled through trying to tell her stories in Spanish. I highly recommend taking classes here. I'll be back in November and will take more classes at Wanderlust. Here's a pic of the adorable bathroom and the sweet little vases of flowers. Experiencia fantástica: The group Spanish classes were the best - even if you're a beginner. It was fun to speak in a positive setting with others. We had fun and went out for coffee a couple times after class as well - 2 Americans, 2 Italians & 1 German. We even went to dinner with one of the couples. This experience gave me confidence and made the world appear to be smaller. Highly recommend this! - American who's almost retired. :)

Experiencia fantástica: I took lessons with Julian for ~6 weeks. When I started I knew zero Spanish, by the end I was able to have a real conversation with my taxi driver when I went to Ezeiza to go home. Would recommend! And if I'm ever in the area again I would continue lessons.
